Review of Arrival (2016) by Ken U — 10 Mar 2017
So underwhelming bad. The happy feel good "koom by yah" plot of the time traveling calamari leaves you hungry for substance and depth. This answers the question of: "what if someone who know absolutely nothing about science, story telling, mystery, drama or suspense made a move where the only child like solution was we all need to get along, play nice and everyone will be ok" got a couple million to see what it would look like.
Albeit the actors and actresses did well playing their rolls; the substance shames the process of story telling.
