Review of Arrival (2016) by Sydney P — 18 Feb 2017

I don't get it. What's the hype? I felt the entire movie was lacking in substance and lured audience with its "Inception-esque" flow and visuals. What this film does best is the music, the cinematography and chronology of story-telling which people seem to go ga ga over if it resembles anything like out of order.

But take away the fluff and what you have is a thin story with a lot of overacting.
