Review of Army of Darkness (1992) by Hunter P — 25 Aug 2013

Army of Darkness is another great addition to the Evil Dead movies. It's not a horror movie like the other two masterpieces of the trilogy, but an action comedy that, again, makes fun of itself in the best way possible.

Bruce Campbell's performance is at the height of it's cheesy greatness and he's fully grown into the cheesy atmosphere of the Evil Dead movies and how his character reacts to situations like this.

It's relentlessly funny and some of the best quotes of the trilogy. The action, effects and cinematography are pretty fucking grand. That last scene is one of my favorites ever. The music is another thing I like more than any other in the trilogy.

There is no other way to describe this movie other than groovy.
