Review of Armored (2009) by Cody M — 04 Apr 2010

Well made if familiar heist movie about a group of security guards who conspire to fake the hijacking of their own armoured cars in order to steal $40 million dollars. As expected, the easy plan where no-one will get hurt quickly deteriorates, leading financially hurting Iraq vet Ty (Columbus Short in a nice, understated performance) to lock himself in one of the cars with the money while the others try to force him out.

You've seen it all be for, but solid direction and a good cast of character actors help move this one along, though the ending is a little too pat, even for a genre flick like this.
