Review of Armored (2009) by Tibor B — 02 Sep 2012
Maybe I haven't seen enough heist movies, but I haven't seen one involving the Armoured Transport guards themselves, so that's a decent enough USP to this B-movie. Solid direction from Antal, and a strong (if often underused) cast keep the wheels turning, even if the script is as subtle as a sledgehammer and plot holes big enough to drive, well a truck, through.
(They don't have constant GPS logging, a credible hold-up could be faked, the lowly guards have access to such sums of money within the trucks -really??) There's just enough emphasis on character dynamics over pointless action to make this a reasonably solid B-movie, just saving it from straight to video oblivion.
