Review of Armored (2009) by Rameshwar N — 06 Aug 2011
It has a very interesting premise and features an ensemble cast of small screen big actors and big screen small actors. What it didn't have is a proper script even for a B-Movie. Not sure if Ty is the good guy here.
Lot of what he says are contradictory. Like he says everyone has a choice. He goes to Iraq and complains about innocent people getting killed and earns a silver star. He agrees to the heist with of course conditions as he does not want to go to jail and nobody gets hurt.
A hobo is killed by accident which he could have prevented if he had caught the guy when he had the chance then thought about how to convince others. He gets all of his crew killed for a heist he agreed to participate in.
There is no content in the plot after the heist gets into motion which happens in the first 30 minutes, looks like everyone had a say in the script from then on. But it does feature decent cinematography and professional action sequences.
The only problem was there was no understanding of the characters and in a plot like this, that is what drives the script. It's well shot with ridiculously bad material.
