Review of Arlington Road (1999) by Wendy S — 28 Sep 2008
Right from the start, this film grabs you with the kids' bloody stump, wierd neighbours and quirky music. I was sitting on the edge throughout most of it. At the crux of the film, the direction gets skewered by the directors' choice to create Robbins' subtle crafty character into a Christian fundamentalist terrorist, which turned me right off.
This is a good look into terrorist motivations (in America by Americans), figuring out someone's hidden past and following your guts... despite the consequences.
