Review of Are You Scared (2006) by Tristan G — 17 Nov 2007

This was really bad. I don't quite know exactly why I watched this, and currently, I wished I had never. This film is disgusting, boring, and poorly made, plus it makes no sense. It is an ugly, nasty, idiotic, and nonsensical film, and one of the most gleefully off-the-wall violent films I've seen.

Don't bother asking me what it's about. I don't want to insult your intelligence. Let's just say it's about what appears to be a game show in which contestants must each survive some sort of trap/deadly game/ whatever, in order to win.

The only problem is that each and every one of these traps/deadly games/whatever are impossible to survive. There is one which a woman must dunk her head in a vat of acid in order to press a button that will cause her to not die.

In another, a woman is gutted and has is tied to the ground with her own intestines and must have rats eat them so that she can run to a phone and call the police before she bleeds to death. And the worst one in which a girl must watch her twin brother be drilled to death in the head.

Seriously, this is awful. I definitely don't think that even diehard horror fans are going to like this one, seeing as how the film lacks suspense, horror, intensity, or even scares.
