Life imitating art in this almost cut from the tabloids film about a business man who finds himself and his legacy in the balance with the mistakes and choices he has made. Richard Gere in probably his finest role to date shows how the rich stay rich and how they continue to be untouchable.

What I like about this film is the way it doesn't give you the happy ending. Kudos to Tim Roth and his character trying to play the game that Gere's character has perfected and learning he can't win even by stoop down to his level.

Great film for the times!
