Review of Arbitrage (2012) by Deanna B — 25 Jan 2013
As I left the theater after watching Arbitrage, I thought that whoever thought this was a compelling, interesting story must lead a very boring, sad life. The praise it received from the critic is rather bewildering and can only be explained as a reaction to the film being written by a banker's son.
Arbitrage is a snorefest of the worst kind. The movie is, at best, unintentionally funny at times, flat and predictable trhoughout, and lacks an ending. Richard Gere's expressionless face doesn't help and there's no such thing as true development. Things just happen and I just didn't care. And why should I?
