Review of Arachnophobia (1990) by Tommy M — 09 Oct 2009
Not exactly a terrifying thriller, but certainly a classic blend of heebie jeebie critters and idiotic humor. John Goodman totally steals the show as the cocky exterminator.
I'm an arachnophobic, so maybe that's why I still have nightmares about all those eight legged freaks, but either way, it deserves credit for being somewhat realistic in the way it portrays the sneakiness of its antagonizing creatures. And unlike many other films of this nature, here is one that doesn't rely on endless gore and splattering body parts to make its impression.
