Kleber Mendonca Filho creates not only an impressive character - that would grant at least an Oscar nomination to its main actress, great Sonia Braga, in a fair world - but also composes this character as a reflection of Brazil, a nation where citizens have to battle against sometimes hidden forces to maintain minimum dignity.
