Review of Aquaman (2018) by Charlie S — 04 Jan 2019
The nest installment in the DC franchise. Is it better than Wonder Woman? No. Better than the others? Yes. But that's not saying much. Thereâ(TM)s a lot right and wrong about this movie. I really liked the visual effects, CGI was incredible and the lighting and colors were really pretty.
I also liked Jason Mamoaâ(TM)s version of Aquaman, I think heâ(TM)s perfect for the role. And the action is solid, over-the-top and dramatic which for a movie like this is really entertaining. Now, time for the bad stuff.
The acting was okay, Iâ(TM)m sure the actors did the best they could with the parts they were given. The story was meh, clichà (C) and mediocre, they couldâ(TM)ve executed it better. It also had many plot holes, luckily, the were so small that it didnâ(TM)t affect the story that much.
The love story sucked, it was forced and very cringe likeâ¦but it had some sweet moments though. This film is also long, they couldâ(TM)ve easily cut the twenty-three minutes out, but instead it was filled with meaningless dialogue and interactions.
Iâ(TM)m going to be honest, I was excited for this, but in the end only slightly disappointed.
