Review of Aquaman (2018) by Thinalpaca — 23 Mar 2021
I love silly video games, but I think a movie should provide and other kind of experience. The plot is somehow overcomplicated and extremely simplistic at the same time, but most definitely unoriginal.
Visually looks like a tasteless neon vomit, form the plastic looking Atlantean armors, through the Star Wars prequel era like architecture of Atlantis and creature design, to Amer Heard’s red wig. The actors are not at their best either, at no point I could root for the “heroes”.
Not to mention the “humor”, which makes this DC movie feel like it’s trying to be the worst Marvel one.
