Review of Aquaman (2018) by Ahmed O — 23 Dec 2018
Despite being the masculine character Jason Momoa is, he showed variations in his plethora of acting skills which he pulled out of the closet and showed us the vulnerability of a man torn between two worlds - land and the sea and his unwillingness to take the throne and his dilemna. Love was the main theme of the entire movie , it was highlighted throughout the movie , the very touching scene of Arthur's parents falling in love and conceiving him and her sacrifice to save him is indescribable. Also the romcom between Arthur and Mera made for light-hearted breaks from the gritty tone of DC movies. It also had very good villains who had proper motives behind their actions, I liked Black Manta's motivation behind hunting Arthur amd Orm's reason for attacking the surface world for polluting the oceans has a realistic feel to it .
In short Aquaman is funny , well written , action packed has a touch of romance or Arthur's words itself " It's Badass".
