Review of Appaloosa (2008) by Erik G — 26 Dec 2009
This was a pretty routine, but darn enjoyable, Western in which Ed Harris and Viggo Mortensen clean up a town. Then the last 20 minutes happen and it goes some totally different place and gets all elegaic and contemplative on us.
I wonder where Ed Harris will go next as a director. (It was kind of hard to tell, but I bet Jeremy Irons was pleased as punch to be playing a no-good varmint in a Western.).
