To me this film is lacking, it plays out more as a period piece rather than a western.
This if fine, but people expecting a western will be disappointed.
From an artistic standpoint, this film is wonderful. The amount of detail is amazing, stunning even. This is fantastic reference for the look of a western, not necessarily the feel.
The characters aren't all that bad; the story isn't horrible either, but it takes itself a little too seriously at times.
