Review of Appaloosa (2008) by Simon D — 16 Jul 2011
I think this is the first film I've seen directed by Ed Harris, it wasn't a bad effort, although I reckon that westerns need the least amount of imagination to direct. You just need a desert, some cheap wooden buildings, a few horses, and a cast of rugged looking growlers (god knows how Jeremy Irons and Timothy Spall came to mind).
The story was quite good but the tomato-faced Zellweger came across as very annoying.
