Review of Apollo 13 (1995) by Greg B — 16 May 2011
Based on the true story of the failed moon attempt, and subsequent rescue this film really hits the mark.
It doesn't rely on huge special effects or the over dramatisation of the plot, the characters aren't "Hollywood" emotional with more crying than an episode of the X factor. It just runs with none of the familiar american tinsel and is yet totally gripping.
Good film.
