Review of Apollo 13 (1995) by Scott M — 31 Mar 2017
Never in American history has a real story been so frought with movie cliches, twists, and turns. This story is perfect to turn into a movie, and Ron Howard manages to make his best film with it. The performances are amazing, including a tremendously underrated performance by Gary Sinise.
As entertaining and thrilling as the film is, I just don't see it playing as well to foreign audiences because this film is, above all else, a testament to American ingenuity.
