Review of Apollo 13 (1995) by Daniel C — 19 Aug 2011
A film that beautifully captures the wonders of the Apollo space program and the near disaster that was Apollo 13.
This film follows the crew of Apollo 13 from the moon landing of Apollo 11 through launch and their return home after an explosion puts the crew in danger and aborts their own moon landing. There's not much to say except the characters are well picked, there is a great feeling of awe and wonder as well as tension and relief in returning the crew back home.
Not everyone's cup of tea, but well worth the watch!
