Review of Apollo 13 (1995) by Thomas L — 27 Sep 2013
Despite being a fan of both Tom Hanks and Ron Howard's works I had previously not seen this movie in its 18 years of existence but glad I have now. This tells the story of the aborted 1970 Apollo 13 mission that failed and the journey to bring Jim Lovell (Tom Hanks), Fred Haise (Bill Paxton) and Jack Swigert (Kevin Bacon) back to earth in one piece after a fault in their ship caused it to break up and lose all of their vital oxygen and power.
Very well acted out film and once again brilliantly directed film by Ron Howard to go with his other masterpieces.
