Review of Apollo 13 (1995) by Aaron A — 14 Dec 2010
Houston, we have a problem.
A dramatic retelling of the Apollo 13 mission that took place on April 11, 1970 at 13:13 CST.
From what iv read about the actual events, the film is accurate, which is significant considering how these types of stories can get dramatically fictionalized during adaptation to the big screen. It's a well crafted film with fine acting, a fine script, and superb set and costume design.
The most impressive aspect of this film is its true zero gravity cinematography, I challenge you to name another film that has zero gravity cinematography, the cast and crew must have spent hour upon hour in an airplane to recreate the lack of gravity.
