One of my all-time favourite films from one of my all time favourite directors, an absolute pleasure to watch even though it's a story we all know the ending to. Tom Hanks was his usual totally watchable self as Jim Lovell and Ed Harris gives another powerful performance, Howard's direction takes us all on the journeywith both the astronauts and their families and friends on earth doingwhat they can to bring them home - even though you know it's a happy ending you still want to cheer when the guys make it back home - an excellent film i'd recommend to anyone.
