Absolutely spectacular. Action scenes that are beautiful and dreadful at the same time keep you interested and the discussion about the predatory nature of society keeps you thinking. Some will say the end is about the white man saving the native mesoamericans from themselves but it's actually about the more "advanced"/brutal Mayans becoming the prey of an even more "advanced" and brutal society, the Spanish, hence the predator eventually becomes the prey.
