Aims for some sort of historical accuracy, but fails gravely on that account. As a run of the mill spectacle movie it kinda works though, just not my cup of tea. Mel Gibson cements his personal style at direction: heavy-heartedness, racism and a tiny sprinkle of oh so much blood.
