Damned powerful! That's the best way I can describe Mel Gibson's ancient Mayan epic. This film is brutally violent but gorgeous to behold. The story keeps you captivated from the very beginning and doesn't let go.
The photography is just gorgeous, and always visually interesting. Shot from every possible angle, it somehow gives the film a semi-documentary style.
