An experience like no other, Apocalypse Now is a top tier war film. But it's actually more of a psychological drama focusing on the soldiers than anything else. Martin Sheen puts up the best performance of his career, with Marlon Brando appearing for a short time, but still performing up to par.
I was absolutely mesmerized by this film. The beautiful jungle atmosphere mixed with an extremely unsettling vibe, and such anxiously awaiting what could possibly happen next. Francis Ford Coppola creates a mind bending gem.
