From the opening scene with the choppers , napalm and music "The End" by The Doors , and right the way through its a war film that dared to be different , and it just keeps you engrossed...Coppolas casting for this was a master stroke from Sheen,Duval& Fishburn to Brando & Hopperl , pure class.
