Review of Apocalypse Now (1979) by Tuukka P — 01 May 2014
Francis Ford Coppola's surreal masterpiece about a mission to kill a rogue colonel during the Vietnam war. The story of making this movie - as documented in "Heart of Darkness" - is a classic in itself as is the movie which was born from the painful process.
They just don't make them like this today. All star cast and director high on variety of substances in the Philippines jungle making a war movie without any studio inteference gives us a film which goes down in history.
A trip into the madness of war.
