Review of Apocalypse Now (1979) by Brandon W — 23 Oct 2014
I heard so much from people about how much they love Apocalypse Now. With it being expired from Netflix, I figured I should've just hurry up and watch it. I watched it with an open mind, not knowing what it's about, and I realized why people talk about this.
Apocalypse Now is the best war film I have ever seen. I really like how they build up the villain so much that it really got me curious to know who he is, and when the movie got to the main villain, it makes it worthwhile.
The acting is excellent, but it is Marlon Brando who stole the show in this, and is really terrifying in this. This is probably as close as it can be to look like a Vietnam War, even though I wasn't in the war.
It looks haunting and it can make people messed up like it did for the characters of the film. It's very unpredictable, the lines are memorable, and the action is spectacular. Apocalypse Now is one of the best movies I ever seen.
