Review of Apocalypse Now (1979) by Screenager — 07 Apr 2013
A philosophical movie about the Vietnam War/American War. A good, strong cast of characters but there are far too many and most are only on screen for 10 minutes meaning that development amongst characters is minimal if present at all and the third act is much weaker than the rest of the film and is also quite horrific.
Unpleasant at times, but offers a realistic insight into a historic moment. Generally over-hyped, but overall a decent effort.
