Review of Aparajito (1956) by Shahzad A — 19 Jun 2007
The second and most overlooked instalment in the Apu Trilogy. It's really beautifully shot by one of the truly great directors of all time, not least in India, Satyajit Ray. It deals with adolescent life and commitment to family in a way that makes it a sort of spiritual forefather of the excellent Namesake.
Highly recommended along with the trilogy's other films.
