Review of Aparajito (1956) by Shaad A — 28 Aug 2007
In this beautiful, haunting, tightly scripted film, our young protagonist must balance his ambition against his bond with his mother, make the most difficult of decisions, and deal yet once again with heartbreaking loss.
In my opinion, it remains the best of Satyajit Ray's acclaimed Apu trilogy.
