Ray gets better with a more mature flick from Pather Panchali, which was more rustic. Ray is at his brilliant best, and the whole movie feels like a slow ride on a boat!! The mother-son relationship is the best i've seen ever on movies, especially when he confesses to leave the village, for Kolkata.
