Brilliantly horrible, and terribly awesome all at the same time, like a lot of Oliver Stone! The excess of this film seems to strive for the same level of excess that millionaire athletes with ultra risky careers seem to enjoy.
The result is that this is the only sports movie that is more over the top than the film "Over the Top"!
