Any Given Sunday tries to be a different kind of sports movie, and with that in mind it has its positives and negatives. I like Al Pacino in this role but could have done without the modern cinematography and editing that director Oliver Stone tried to employ.

The famous speech by Pacino was by far the highlight. Other than that, this movie is sort of entertaining but nothing special. As a fan of sports movies, I prefer the more formulaic story that inspires and uplifts.
