Review of Anuvahood (2011) by Karungari G — 28 Sep 2011
Loaded with unflattering close-ups, noisy dialogue and more consumer products than your local Netto, Adam Deacon's urban comedy is clumsy, in-your-face and painfully unfunny. The film's humour relies less on satire and more on gross-out comedy and zany performances, reducing what could have been an amusing parody into unappealing, dim-witted nonsense.
The characters are irritating, the violence is unnecessary and the plot is slimmer than a king-size silver Rizla. Deacon, are you dizzy, blood?
