Cinematic perfection. This brilliant epic about the lineage of a charismatic matriarch is rightfully categorized as a feminist film. A week after seeing it I was still affected. I have yet to meet anyone- male or female- who watches it and doesn't have the same reaction.
One of my all time favorites.
