Cooper hopes his several ideas would somehow stick and "Antlers" strives to be a supernatural horror rooted in indigenous folklore, an allegory about unresolved trauma, drug addiction and child abuse, and also an environmental parable, all at the same time, but the attempt saying too many things ends up not saying anything clear enough.
