Although overrated, Antropophagus is a decent slasher and a fair entry for Italian gore horror. It's slow, though - very slow, and very talky, and the payoff may not be worth the wait for some viewers.
Indeed, considering Antropophagus' nasty reputation, the gore is fairly light, especially compared to other films made around the same time. Still, it's not bad, and if you can find it there's no harm in giving this one a shot.
