Review of Anthropoid (2016) by Scott H — 21 Aug 2016
The character development is severely lacking as it expects the viewer to care based on its historical premise, but in order to become more engaged it needed it. Cilian Murphy is great, and the four central characters all have chemistry, but too often it asks the viewer to feel a certain way without earning it.
It executes its suspense scenes beautifully, but in the end it should have felt more important than it ends up being.
