I was also surprised to see only average ratings from the critics. I thought this was a truly great film! Though slow moving ( a bit like Monsters) and not the SciFi I was hoping for , the story was tense and engrossing.
The use of this specific SciFi concept to portray a human tragedy is what's gives this film originality. I highly recommend this film. It's the movie experience I hoped for.
