Those of us in the live theatre know of the controversy, but now everyone will be discussing "who really wrote 'Shakespeare's' plays?" Anytime big cinema can build interest in the real arts (theatre, great writing) I say, "Bully!" The director is known for his action adventure flics-"Anonymous" will create action in the coffee houses and wine bars as we all cross swords over the long-raging Avon-Oxford question.
Like "Shakespeare In Love" this film may agaian bring the classics into contemporary conversation and maybe sell a few theatre tickets along the way. Huzzah!!
