What fools these mortals be........................mortal professional critics, that is; bravo to Emmerich, whose own quote about the project is apt: 'Sometimes I am afraid of my own courage.......

.' He needn't have feared it, as this work is one where courageous ambition has met needless fear, and then some. While the Stratfordian was a Catholic and had access to a prodigious library, it is likely that these works were collaborative and that many rewrites took place despite the scarcity of paper.

It is unlikely that any one man, of any age and whatever talents could have produced so deep and wide an ouvre. (The real authors would have wanted that last term employed). As a produced playwright myself, I know the value of actors as both improvisers and contributors.
