I really enjoyed the acting, especially by Redgrave, Ifans, and Spall. It is a movie that did not take itself too seriously, yet, did not skimp on the acting. The sets, makeup, and costumes were wonderful.
It was reminiscent of a night a the theater. History buffs may take offense, but if viewed simply for entertainment purposes, this movie delivers. And I hope to see Spall in some other roles, as well.
He was so boorishly delicious as Shakespeare!
