Review of Anonymous (2011) by Shkelqim Z — 13 Jun 2012
A tremendously enjoyable and well acted film about Shakespeare, or at least, the author of the works credited to him. Rhys Ifans is superb, quite possibly his best performance ever. Throw in the great Vanessa Redgrave, David Thewlis, and the incomparable Derek Jacobi, and you have a stellar UK Cast.
Add a fantastically dramatic story, and you have a great film that was absolutely captivating. I Daresay this would be a more effective way to get high schoolers interested in Shakespeare than many others.
