Review of Anonymous (2011) by Matt H — 28 Nov 2012
Ridiculous, but fun and entertaining. Solid movie from Roland Emmerich. Some hammy acting moments, but overall solid acting, particularly Ifans; the movie owes a lot to "Elizabeth" and even "Shakespeare in Love.
" At least it's better than "Elizabeth: The Golden Age." There's a late twist that is just a little too ridiculous, and also isn't really resolved or dealt with in any way, it's just there for no reason (or to "be more like Shakespeare!").
Also gotta love that Shakespeare started crowd diving, lol.
