Is it sci fi? Is it philosophical? Is it to be taken literally or symbolically? Or is it just a mess? Yeah, it's a mess. It plods along,with the tease that there is an answer coming at the lighthouse.
And because Portman is the lead, I figured it had to have some substance. It doesn't. Just another movie that would prefer to be vague and dreamy,and leave the actual telling of a story to our imaginations or those of the movie critics.
