Thought provoking, haunting, and smart with a splash of horror all within a sci-fi backdrop. Annihilation is the kind of film that I adore.
I do remember the previews for this on TV and wow, they did not represent this movie at all. My only regret in paying the $14 to buy it is that I didn't spend the $18 to see it in the highest quality theater I have nearby.
If you enjoyed Alien, 28 Days/Weeks Later, Ex Machina (and come on, who doesn't love at least half of those four) then you'll at the very least enjoy this experience. If not outright love it!
